The GTI Bridge + Immersion Course
Gain the additional knowledge and training to become a Certified Trauma Care Practitioner and hone your coaching skills in live practice groups.
Designed with a decolonized approach, this program delves deep into understanding trauma within diverse cultural contexts (6 weeks). You will explore the historical and systemic factors contributing to trauma, and learn how to provide empathetic, effective support that considers intersectionality and respects and honors cultural differences. This course challenges traditional power structures within Western-centric models of trauma care by promoting cultural humility, peer to peer dynamics and client-led practices.
After that, you will be have the opportunity to explore the GTI competences and have a safe space to practice 1-1 coaching and apply what you've learned (12 weeks).
Through interactive learning, self-reflection, and community engagement, you will develop the knowledge needed to effectively advocate for trauma-informed practices that are inclusive, respectful, and empowering and enhance your trauma informed practice.
